Q: Why is fabrication time a minimum of 1 to 2 weeks?

A: For the moment, Inspiring Adornments is my part-time business. Rest assured, that it is a top priority for me, though, and that I will do everything I can to complete orders as quickly and efficiently as possible, while still maintaining the highest quality standards.

Q: How long will it take before my item is shipped?

A: Items that are already in my inventory will ship in 1 to 2 business days. Custom orders and items to be fabricated will take longer, depending on the materials required and order volume. I will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your order to give you an estimated turnaround time, but feel free to contact me if you need to know before you place your order.

Q: I purchased a piece of jewellery from IA. Why isn't it marked with the .925 stamp?

A: Some of the jewellery pieces on my site were made in my earlier fabrication days before I owned a .925 stamp. Also, the thin, stackable rings are not marked as the stamp would mar the delicate silver wire. I use high quality silver from reputable sources, and I stand proudly behind my products. That is a promise to my clients. 

Q: Will I get a tracking number for shipping?

A: Only expedited shipping within Canada and Tracked Packet shipping to the US includes a tracking number. 

Q: Will my piece tarnish over time?

A: Silver and copper will tarnish when left exposed to air and moisture. The best way to prevent tarnish is to wear your jewellery. The oils from your skin and hands do a good job of preventing tarnish. You should also gently clean your jewellery with mild soap and water, then dry it very well. Some people have large jewellery collections and you can't necessarily wear every piece all that frequently. In that case, I recommend storing your jewellery pieces in small, individual ziploc bags. Jeweller's cloths can be purchased online as well and can bring your jewellery back to a beautiful shine!

Q: I received my order but my item looks slightly different than the photo on your website. Why is that?

A: Everything you see on the website has been handcrafted by me. Unless it's an item marked "only one available", which means it's a one of a kind item, then I've custom-made one for your order. Handcrafted items almost always vary slightly, but I do everything possible to make it exactly as pictured.
